Speaking Questions

Want to speak or contribute as a panelist, common questions covered here

We are still accepting proposals to speak, competition is fierce and we do not accept platform centric and promotional presentations.

We are pleased to offer our speakers a comprehensive set of benefits to thank them for their contribution and elevate their experience:

  • Professional Recognition: Receive a Professional Speaker Certificate to add to your profile, recognizing your expertise and contribution to the industry.
  • Exclusive VIP: Access speaker only, VIP and premium networking activities free of charge.
  • Complimentary Tickets: Enjoy a free ticket to the current event, plus a ticket to our next event or a complimentary guest pass for a qualifying colleague.
  • Promotion: Exposure through priority placement on our website, social media, and event app, positioning you as a featured industry leader.
  • Post-Event Recognition: Benefit from personalised endorsements on LinkedIn and acknowledgment in our event follow-ups.
  • Professional Photographs: Action shots of you on stage to use as you need in your on and offline materials

In special cases, where an industry veteran’s presence adds significant value but employer funding isn’t available, we may be able to offer partial travel subsidies with support from our sponsors and partners.

While we can’t guarantee assistance, we encourage requests for the minimum required amount to attend. Subsidised speakers are expected to actively engage throughout the event.

Whilst we aim to record most sessions at our events, bitter experience has taught us that quality recordings are not guaranteed to be available. Where they are available we provide them to speakers to use as they like (with credit ) after an embargo period where they are only available to paid emailexpert members and delegates.

Yes, subject to final confirmation.

We hope we will have a hybrid element to the event meaning those unable to attend in person can contribute content that can be viewed by delegates and others.

What are some tips for first time visitors to Alicante in June?

Weather & What to Pack

June marks the beginning of summer in Alicante with pleasantly warm temperatures. Average daily high temperatures increase from 78°F to 84°F (26-29°C) during the month, and cloudy days decrease significantly from 35% to just 15%. The sea temperature reaches around 22°C, making it perfect for swimming, while humidity levels of about 70% can make it feel even warmer.

Pack accordingly with:

  • Lightweight, breathable clothing (cotton and linen work best)
  • Swimwear and beach essentials
  • Sun protection (high SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, hat)
  • A light layer for evenings
  • Comfortable walking shoes for exploring

Top Attractions to Visit

  1. Castillo de Santa Bárbara – This magnificent hilltop castle offers breathtaking panoramas of Alicante city and the coastline that are worth the visit alone. Take the elevator up from near Postiguet Beach or walk up early in the morning to avoid the heat.
  2. Explanada de España – The iconic palm-lined promenade with its wave-patterned marble tiles is perfect for evening strolls. This is a favorite spot for the evening “paseo” when the sun loses its heat and locals come out for a stroll.
  3. MARQ Archaeological Museum – This excellent museum is housed in a former hospital building and takes visitors through 100,000 years of local history from prehistory through Roman times to modern-day Spain.
  4. Tabarca Island – The only inhabited island in the region, Tabarca offers crystal clear waters perfect for snorkeling, beautiful beaches, and excellent seafood restaurants. Take a ferry from Alicante’s port for a wonderful day trip.
  5. Alicante’s Old Town (El Barrio) – This charming neighborhood sprawls on the hillside beneath the castle, with steep streets, whitewashed walls, and locals who decorate their balconies and doorsteps with fresh flowers.

Local Tips

  • Timing Your Day: Plan outdoor activities for mornings and late afternoons, with a break during the hottest midday hours (1-4pm).
  • Beach Time: In mid-June, the beaches are still relatively uncrowded, especially on weekdays when locals are at work.
  • Festivals: June is when Alicante celebrates the arrival of summer with the spectacular Hogueras de San Juan festival featuring music, color and fireworks. If you’re still around June 23-24, don’t miss this incredible celebration.
  • Dining: Embrace the Spanish schedule – lunch from 2-4pm and dinner starting after 8:30pm. Try local specialties like arroz a banda (rice with fish), and cool off with horchata, a refreshing drink made from tiger nuts.
  • Transportation: The city is very walkable, but the modern tram system makes it easy to reach nearby beaches and towns. Consider a Mobilis transport card for convenience.

Day Trips

  • Guadalest – A picturesque mountain village with stunning views and a castle perched on a rock.
  • Altea – Known for its beautiful white-washed old town and blue-domed church.
  • Fuentes del Algar – Natural waterfalls and swimming holes that provide refreshing relief from the heat.

June is an ideal time to visit Alicante before the peak tourist season of July and August, offering warm weather, relatively uncrowded beaches, and the excitement of local summer festivals. The city’s combination of historical attractions, beautiful beaches, and excellent dining makes it perfect for first-time visitors looking to experience authentic Spanish coastal culture
